The first step is boiling water, fill the pot with two liters of water and boil for five minutes. Add 5 tea bags and dump a cup of sugar into the pot. Remove the tea bags after a few minutes. Before you add the tea to the scoby, you should let it cool. By pouring hot tea you can kill the culture.

In the glass jar pour in some amount of Kombucha batch or cider vinegar. The starter is used to increase the acid in the culture. As soon as the tea is cool, pour into the jar. Pick up the scoby using a clean spoon then slide it to the jar. The scoby might float or sink once it is inside.

Once all the ingredients are in the bowl, cover it with the clean towel. Tie the rubber band around the bowl to hold the towel. For the process to be completed you will need to store the jar in a warm dark place. You can place it inside the cupboard. The beverage can take 5-14 days for it to be consumed. This will depend with the temperature. While checking on your brew, you will notice a scum on top of the jar. To taste you will have to move the scoby by using a spoon. It is has a sweet-sour taste.
